The Barbie-veil

Ricki occasionally "plays" with a Barbie-type doll, usually dressing her as a bride.

But on a recent shabbat (Saturday) she had a problem: She wanted to make a long train for the doll, but since we don't sew/use tape /glue on shabbat, she had a problem. In the end Ricki came up with a pretty ingenious solution, connecting napkins to each other, and to the doll, with rubber bands!

Wow! You go Ricki! I don't think that I would have thought to use napkins! Great way to use things available to solve problems.

Maybe you can use this as a teaching aid to help her stop taking things from stores. Remind her that just like on Sabbath when some things are prohibated, so isn't stealing and if she is hungry, she needs to ask permission first and if the answer is no, she needs to figure out a proper solution.

Very nice. I love when people are clever. You get points on certain standardized assessment tools for creating alternative uses for objects.

And have a do-able fast.
