All I can say is that I am SO proud of our tiny little country (Israel) for being the ones who reacted the fastest, and got the first real hospital into place in Haiti. Some of my soldier-son's acquaintences from the canine unit are in Haiti, searching for survivors.

Go Israel.
One small country helping another.
That's great for Israel.
I would like to donate, but am not sure which fund/charity to trust as we had a big uproar over misuse/misappropriation of funds by many charities after hurricane Katrina. I want my money (that comes from my very fixed income budget) to reach the victims who really need it and not the greedy people who are only in it for the money and pocket it themselves. So until I find a charity I can trust, I am not handing out one penny. Red Cross cannot be trusted here. I am thinking of asking Catholic Charities here in the States if they have funds set up for Haiti, as Catholic Charities has helped me many times in the past (with food, clothing, and with bills).
