For about a week I have been giving Ricki "stars" for good behavior, and yesterday I got out the stash of prizes that could be purchased with them. Later in the day, she was a bit digruntled when I told her that the "star store" is open only once a week. More on this, G-d willing, tomarrow.

You sound a lot stronger than me - I always end up giving in and giving out way too many (often undeserved) rewards.
Loved your comment on my blog. Ashlea's 'thank yous' sound a bit dodgy from time to time too!
LOL! Love her pout... I would have been suckered by that look and opened the Star Store... you are a strong strong Woman!!
good idea! love that look on her face.
I love the idea, I have to try that one of these days.
Her expressions is priceless, :)
Cute chart!
Awesome that you caught yourself. I'm in the middle of this with one of my kids, and it's driving me nuts.
Curious- When I do this with E., he becomes a serious businessman, arguing whether he's earned them or not and gnerally focusing on the rewards with no real satisfaction in the tasks he does well. Do you ever get that?
Staying Afloat- I get arguments about whether she has earned them or not. But on her "good" days, I see her satisfaction as well. On a day that she is feeling "against the world" I don't see her getting the same type of satisfaction. And aren't we ALL like that? On a day that you feel good, we get satisfaction from getting stuff done. On a harder day, it is hard to pat ourselves on the back for plodding through things we would rather not be doing, and instead feel bad that we are only doing the minimum!
