Who am I?
- rickismom
- I am a parent,of teens and teens+, including a "special-needs" child of fifteen. I have worked as a nurse (mostly in psychiatry),and am grossly overweight (and detirmined to change that!). I am an American living in Israel at present. I am addicted to reading, and love music, writing, and the observing G-d's world. The wings I feel that I am under are the sheltering wings of G-d. I am an observant Jew. "Ricki", my daughter(age 15), has Down syndrome, ADHD, moderate hearing loss(compensated with a hearing aid), and a very spunkey personality.
Courage
Alpine flowers survive in the cold tundra climate. "Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "Tomorrow I will try again".
