We all have different roles to play for the "clal," the entire nation.

There seems to be a problem for some people to love the individual instead of the nebulous "Ahavas Yisroel." Or maybe it's a lack of tolerance or insecurity.Batyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09402874037427009327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186797796234731983.post-30204857140192706052010-02-16T01:25:40.386+02:002010-02-16T01:25:40.386+02:00thank you.thank you.s(b.)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08633383652906692253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186797796234731983.post-44026478434497339462010-02-14T09:58:36.295+02:002010-02-14T09:58:36.295+02:00An excellent and much-needed post.An excellent and much-needed post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186797796234731983.post-39925885476996880782010-02-11T16:42:24.403+02:002010-02-11T16:42:24.403+02:00This is a very well written and heartfelt post. This is a very well written and heartfelt post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186797796234731983.post-8424564165862060822010-02-11T15:26:30.133+02:002010-02-11T15:26:30.133+02:00Hashem should watch over your sons, as they use th...Hashem should watch over your sons, as they use their strengths to defend klal yisrael.

I think it's helpful to remember both sides of the luchos. I have a family member who is almost completely non-shomer of mitzvos bein adam l'makom, but his ben adam l'chaveiro is the strongest I've ever seen. I try so hard to learn from him, and to remember to open my eyes to people and their strengths.Staying Afloathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06228636990839399469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186797796234731983.post-32507348740519000912010-02-11T11:14:32.388+02:002010-02-11T11:14:32.388+02:00There is a LOT of ahavas Israel in Chareidi circle...There is a LOT of ahavas Israel in Chareidi circles. My oldest son is not yet 13, but I think about my sons' army service a lot.

Maybe people who are disapproving feel threatened by your son's mesirut nefesh. One way people deal with feeling threatened is by being hostile to what makes them feel that way.

Your son does not deserve hostility. I know that often we get reactions from people that reflect how we ourselves feel inside. If we project confidence and friendliness, we are more likely to get it in return. I don't know if this helps you or your son in any way.Ilanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13870568775480176690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186797796234731983.post-11931689045933221392010-02-11T09:29:05.991+02:002010-02-11T09:29:05.991+02:00There is a big "push" lately in some Cha...There is a big "push" lately in some Chareidi circles, to study Ahavas Yisroel in order to merit the coming of Moshiach.

I think we'd be well served to spend a bit more time PRACTICING it - not just studying it ;)

Good post!G6https://www.blogger.com/profile/15932781801654313054noreply@blogger.com
